Bob Kurgan is coming back to Sacramento for his bi-annual tune session.

The last 5 times he has been here in Sacramento have been very successful. Some of your local fastest from the Bay to Sac have been tuned by Bob...aka 1RareSnake, Streakmatt, VADEL2..etc...

Last turn out was great there was a wide range of 300RW to 900RW cars that turned out.

I have 6-7 people who are definite and would like to get 5-7 more but we can always extend if needed.

Tuning will be done here in Sacramento.

Please contact me ASAP if you are interested. Last time he was out, I filled 16 spots in less than two weeks. We had to turn some people away as well.

*disclaimer* - Dyno time and tuning time are separate items...please note this when planning on payments..NON-Refundable deposits will be collected due to issues with previous "flakers"

also...as always the "no buckets rule" will be strictly enforced again...we really didnt have any issues with this last time and it keeps everyone sane...

DATE TENTATIVELY SET for Nov 1 to Nov 3.

Nov 1 will be a half day only. He is flying in around 3 and will tune for about 4 to 5 hours on Nov 1.

I know his side as well but tend to keep that out this since he hasn't seem to burn anyone here who has been tuned by him...he has tuned around 60 to 70 different cars that I have seen but I havent seen too many legit complaints such as this.

sing me up for november 2nd. I had an oil pump failure and just got the motor back it's going in asap and will be back up and running in the next two weeks. I just have to break in the motor it should be ready by Nov 2nd.

We are asking you to police your own car. We are trying to have this event go smoothly. Bob doesn't have time to diagnose a car on the dyno when it has multiple issues going on. There have been past instances where Bob won't even attempt to tune someone's car until the owner has everything in order.

So just make sure the car is 100% ready to go when getting ready to be tuned.

Well put... I dont think hes a diva at all.. The man is taking time out of his career to fly out and tune cars.. The least people can do is make sure their shit is squared away.. Maybe ill catch this next year..

Yeah not to mention this AWESOME tuner quoted a bad dist. Made some one spend an extra $100 for something he did not need. Funny thing was Bob would have gotten paid if he didn't act like such a bitch and try to be a phone gangster and start screaming at people. He has this awesome nick name in the industry as CB " Cheater Bob" haha should have been professional and talked instead of a dick and trying to punk some one and show off Dick. [Smile]

Kurgan is a joke... I just paid to Re dyno the Saleen the guy actually tuned it through the rpm ranges and it made 853 at the wheels at 6300 rpm on pump gas. 694 torque there are better people out there just wanted to share alittle bob only 642 from it

Pcsal ------- we need details for this story to be credible. Can you post both dyno plots with air fuel ratio curves? 200HP is a lot. What was the timing difference between the two? Was a mechanical problem like belt slip fixed on the 850HP pull? Two tuners with the same timing and air fuel ratio will make the same WOT power. It's part throttle drivability and idle that makes one tuner stand out from the rest. No one compares tuners using this metric though. If you're going to claim one tuner made 200HP more than another tuner, we need details for the story to be believable.

H8RPWRD ------ Yes. No one will treat your car as well as its owner. Tuners and shops are incentivized to perform the minimum amount of work for the maximum amount of money. Custom tuning isn't easy. Wide open throttle tuning isn't hard. Part throttle drivability tuning is time intensive and takes a long time. There is no incentive to do part throttle drivability. Just some quick wide open throttle runs on the dyno, that's where the money is at.
