I have been curious, so I'm sure some of you guys are too, how much these new 5.0's weigh.

My car is a 2011 5.0 GT Premium California Special. It has the Shaker Sound System with Microsoft Sync, Security, 19x9.5 TSW Wheels with 275's, 6 speed Manual Trans, Full Leather Interior, still had the spare tire, jack etc

It weighs in at 3600lbs +/- 20lbs(accuracy required of the scale I weighed it on) without me in it, & 3/4 tank of gas. Lighter than I was expecting. My old 91 GT Full Optioned, leather etc weighed in at 3,400lbs on a 1/4 tank without me in it.

Ya, my 93 Coupe weighs in at 2975 with full interior, a/c p/s, all smog equipment etc. granted Ive done weight reduction elsewhere, but it is a big difference. Still lighter than I expected since the body is massive compared to the fox. Ford should have made the body a little smaller to shed some pounds.

Ya, but when I hit the track I'm taking everything out & going on m/t et streets ftw!

Mods will be Borla axle backs, factory 3.73's, diablosport canned 91 tune(or 93 tune if I throw in some 100 octane), with 26x10.5-16 m/t et streets. Hoping for mid 12's

Mid 12 thats what u could run stock. Launch the shit out it and do low 12's [Wink]

That's the plan. Will likely get LCA's & a shifter bushing first too. The factory shifter is horrible. Worst I've owned.
