I ordered some door weather stripping for my driver side door. After about two weeks, i was fed up about not having my weather stripping yet. So I called them and they tell me that there is nothing they could do. I WAS ticked. I told them I would never order from them again and hung up

I walk outside to grab my paper this morning and there, on my porch is my package. I grab it and bring it inside.

HERE IS THE KICKER!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

ITS A BRAND NEW EXEDY RACING CLUTCH FOR MY 5.0!! hahahahahahaha They messed up BIG TIME!!

Thank you LMR ILL TAKE IT!! Someone just spent 300 plus dollars for weather stripping!! hahahahahahahaha

I guess it's ok to steel from a big company but not individual people.

Thank you! I was still in my ticked off stage. Then after reading your comment and fredfifty's comment made me step back and open my eyes. It is the right thing to do and I was raised better then that. I was upset about not having my weather stripping and could only imagine how the other guy who bought the clutch feels.

I would just keep it chances are the other guy will have another clutch sent their way, it's not like you walked to your neighbors door and took the clutch from his porch. That's just my opinion, fuck LMR.. [patriot]

Good on you for sending it back. Anyone can do the right thing when everyone is watching. It's takes a real man to do it when no one is watching.

+1 Don't return it.. The guy it belongs to will get his money back no matter what or they will get another clutch. There is a chance that clutch wasn't even supposed to go to someone else and they just messed up. [patriot]

I'm the do the right thing kind of guy but this I probably wouldn't take on myself. It's up to the company to make things right with their customers.

Keep that shit. The company has no choice but to send the customer their parts they paid for. This kind of stuff happens to big companies all the time. One time summit sent me a fuel pump for a 65 skylark. It happens to everyone.

There are some serious dirtbags on this site.

Posted by Bulletsponge (Member # 9529) on :

Why is everyone assuming this was someone else package?

Was OP's name on the box?

What if the shipper who packaged it put the wrong item in the box?

Posted by Wht86drop (Member # 12104) on :

If the package had someone else's name I'd understand and send it back. If it was under the OPs name, I'd keep it and tell em I didnt get my weather stripping. What goes around comes around. Like the OP said, he got "stiffed" if that's the case then fuck it! Keep that shit

Posted by Greasy (Member # 5258) on :

The OP didn't get stiffed, he's parts just haven't shown up yet. Has anyone here ever bought some expensive parts and had to wait? It has happened to me and on parts that are worth a lot more than some weather strip.

A couple years ago I bought my brother a Full Tilt Boogie bushing upgrade for his Terminator and I received it like a week later. Well a few months after that I get a shipping confirmation saying that my order had shipped, I'm like WTF. So I call them and they are like "yeah it should be at your door in a couple days" then I proceed to tell them I had already gotten my order and they made a mistake. That bushing upgrade is like $800, they wouldn't have known the difference but I couldn't sleep at night if I did that.

Posted by KARATExxCHUCK (Member # 12851) on :

It had my name on it, but if I were to keep it i feel like the employee who packaged it would get in trouble and possibly lose his job. And I would not be able to sleep at night because I know how it feels to not have a job.

I sent it back. Yes it would be nice to have a nice new racing clutch, but I have always worked for everything in my life and I'm not about to stop!!
After getting back from dropping it off at fedex. My weather stripping was on my door step with my name on it.

Right on man, you did the right thing and you were rewarded [patriot] Just curious, did the shipping label on the box with the clutch have the same box dimensions as the weatherstripping box? maybe the shipper made duplicate labels by accident.

He hasn't got replacement parts and from what he says they told him too bad. Until he gets his parts id say that's pretty stiffed.

He already stated that his weather strip showed up right after he shipped the clutch back.

lol. it's not that serious.. You should of took the clutch and searched for someone that needed it and sold it for those $100 LMR gave you.. THAT would of been even better good karma. Actually helping a person out and not a company [patriot]

Someone atLMR personally called me and said thank you for sending it back. He also, told me that I more then likely saved the gentlemens job who was responsible for packaging it. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT ALL THAT, BUT I can
Sleep at night with 100$ gift card in my pocket. Plus, they credited me the 20$ for my weather stripping.

It's a GOOD DAY!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

I know, but I wanted to the do right thing no matter who messed up or was involved. I didn't care if they were going to send me a gift card...etc. it was the right thing to do. Like i stated earlier, I have worked for everything in my life. Two summers ago I busted my a%# for 2 months straight in construction in 100 plus degree weather to save up enough money to buy my first 5.0. And in the end I did. No one helped and I earned it pick by pick, shovel by shovel, and nail by nail. Everytime I look at my car I see accomplishment!! And accomplishments like this will continue further into my life because I come from a working family. My Mom works hard and My Dad works hard. Nothing is handed to me, or my siblings, unless its a paycheck and we reach out to grab it with our rough sweaty hands from a hard honest days work!!
