I just got my coyote a week ago, it came with tint on the front windows. 4 days after getting it I got a tint ticket from CHP. The officer said there is no fine involved, just remove the tint, have it signed off, then send it in. I'm hoping to find someone that can/will sign it off without having to remove it. I've got a friend of a friend, but he's out in Marysville, I'm in Sacramento.

After taking the tint off drive over to your local CHP or police department office and ask someone to sign it off. As long as you did what you are supposed you will be all good.

For the $80 that it would cost to have this whole thing done, not sure if it's worth it for a officer to do it

I usually get pulled over 1-2 times a year

$50 for two front windows
$27 for fix it ticket

=$77 out here. I think it's worth it I just pay and get it over with

Seems pretty easy these days to get a weed card, I don't see why anyone could not say the bright light hurts? And get a tint card.

Just pay the fine it's cheaper and easier than having to remove and pay to install new front window tint.

From what I have read even if you do get a prescription it is only for removable stuff on the front windows, tint doesnt qualify.

Long shot but if you are light skinned, you might have a chance to legally have it on the car.

Go to a doctor and show him some freckles or moles and they keep popping up more often now that you're driving so much more. Catch my drift, take it from there...

I see the CHP doesn't care about there officer's safety (no tint on there cars) but I care about mine. I don't want to die from skin cancer in the future. There are exceptions to every rule, you just need to get a legal on them since they use it against you.

My excuse was that I needed the most protection I can from the sun for my eyes. My excuse was legit since my eyes aren't all that great lol and I had a doctors note the judge was cool with it and dismissed my ticket

They will actually do it for people with migraines sun will trigger them. I know a few people who have to carry a prescription in their glove box with reg and insurance.

Disagree. Migraines are real btw and they are debilitating, my ex had them. Use any advantage you can to get what you want.

This guys car came with it. I don't know how dark it is but if it's too dark you're going to get fucked with.

I've had tint all my life but the fronts have always been tinted according to how dark my interior is. Makes a big difference!

I even tint the front wind shield. You won't believe how much it helps with glare in the day and especially at night with all these HIDS coming at you....blinding. I don't even care when people come at me high beams on any more.

System isn't going to tell me I can't protect my body against all the blinding lights and potential skin cancer from the sun. I do a lot of driving.

Take off the tint, then put on the a lighter shade after it's signed off. Also, keep the windows clean at al times and don't do things to attract a cop such as speed, loud music, donuts or any stupid shit.

You'll be fine

What people do not realize migraine or not it gives you a prescription to keep in your car so you don't have to roll them down in the rain. And migraines are like back aches they can not prove III it really hurts or not. Make it LEGAL for your tine when pulled over

Where i live you still have to take off the tint have it signed off and then pay a stupid $25 fix it ticket.How much is it if you just pay the fine outright and not fix it?If you look in the california code book i believe the skin cancer cant be used on tint i believe last time i checked?

The dr's note only allows you to have removable tint on your windows and it must be removed at night.
