Just bought a Tremec t5 brand new for My Fox that is going on 25 years. During this I started wondering how likely is it that these cars will be reliable after getting all new rear end, starter, building 347 with top end (N/A), new water pump, radiator, etc..

I know these cars are money pits just wondering if you pour enough money into them will they be reliable enough to daily drive for a few years at the least?

Rebuilt engine 6 speed tranny re done suspension and a rebuilt rear end with the right gears and you'd have a solid dd foxbody

I drove my 93 strim cobra almost daily. Just make sure you dont have a big cam and get a clutch with a soft pedal and you will be fine.

drove my 89 coupe with 302 with heads intake etc for about 4 years and then my 306 HCI droptop lx for about 4 years both in between the Peninsula and Chico. did the 300 mile roundtrip on bigs and skinnies more times than i can count! only stuck on the side of the road once with a shifter issue that i fixed on the shoulder of I5. doing the necessary upkeep and maintenance will do wonders for you.

most reliable car there is as long as no drugs where involved in any shape or form during the cars build life.

Hahaha no sir.
I plan on getting a coast high performance 347 shortblock throwing a trick flow kit on top but that's in the future along with rear end build and kick ass cooling system.

Dont let Turbo50 build it and you should be fine!

x2 on the soft pedal clutch. Thats my biggest gripe about driving my fox daily. My Ram stage 2 kills my already bad knee.

your best daily driver foxbody is a stock one.

Mine is completely stock minus k and n drop in filter and tremec t5
It's going to stay stock but will be building 347 to have for when the motor takes a shit.

I think anything below 450hp at the motor with a stock block will be very reliable, but I would look into the 347s more, I know they make good power but how long will they last with their rod ratio, that's why I like 327/331 combos.
