I race bmx in the mid 70's- early 80's. I remember those when they were new. I had a torker with twin top tubes when they first came out.

I still have one of my bikes that was made for me when I used to race. I know nobody else has one like it. I had all the frame geometry to my specs. BMX was the shit back in the day.

One of the few things I ever regret selling was my JMC Black Shadow. That was probably the best bike I ever owned in my youth.

I still have my "Boss USA" from the good ole days when they were still hand built in Oakland. I restored it a couple of years ago. Those were some fun times!

I used to BMX all the time as a young teenager. Pretty much the highlight of my childhood cruising around on bikes with friends.

I remember the top pro rider in the late 70's was a redline rider named Stu Thompson. He was in his early 20's and I thought it was strange a grown man racing bmx. I didn't think about the money he was making. I was in my mid teens then.

I'd like to dress up as rod & rex in those sweet dance outfits with another person for a costume contest.

I used to window shop at Hank and frank in Oakland. I couldn't afford a good bike so moms got me a huffy. I broke it wile I was jumping at spot under the overpass by the Grandlake theater, they had wood chip hills that somebody made a track. We also would ride around Lake Merritt. That was the late 70s and early 80s.
