Quick question...
How reliable are Ford Rangers, specifically a 1993 V6 3.0 5pd? I’m planning on trading my 1997 Miata for a Ranger.

i would go with the 2.3 or the or the 4.0
the 3.0 has no power and not so good gas mileage

I had a 4.0 and loved it ( 2003 model ) But I've heard they can also have problems too. I think fast hatch commented before about them, but that was a long time ago.

the ford 3.0 is just like the Toyota 3vz 3.0. both are reliable great motors, but both are gas guzzlers, both are slow as hell, and both have their issues.

My 97 2.3 has 240xxx miles and runs like a champ. Very reliable. Biggest things I had to do was timing belt snapped (very easy to change)and new clutch. Other than that regular maintenance. I drive it everyday.
