Done this a couple of times. Once with 25$ once with 35$. Didn't make half my money back either time. Go to fanduel.com and learn sports. [patriot]

A friend of mine and I both put in 250 bucks each and bought $20 scratchers from various places and we ended ip losing $250 total
But I know of alot of people that have won $1000 and more on one.

I bought my wife a scratcher a few years ago and she won 100 bucks. The most I seem to win is a free ticket or 5, 10 or 20 bucks.
I prefer to play a quick pick on Fantacy 5 a couple times a week.

Go look at the odds of winning $20 and thatll change your mind real quick on playing them. If youre at a gas station and you got $2 bucks crumbled up in your pocket, Go buy a $2 ticket and call it a day. You might win $5 bucks.

Most ive ever won was $50 on a $1 ticket and $50 on a $2 ticket and i rarely ever play.

I'd rather go to the casino and actually enjoy the atmosphere than sitting at home scratching a bunch of tickets hoping to hit it big.

I find it fun. I don't play often and I usually don't win big, $50 or $100 max.

My boss won $5,000 last week at the 7/11 next to my work, and about a month or two ago the same 7/11 sold a Lucky for Life winner ($5,000/week for 25 years).

I don't think it's financially smart to buy them often but it's a fun little break from life. I also register all of mine for second chance drawings which is free and enters me for a drawing per ticket for (usually) $10,000. Same boss's brother won $20,000 on the second chance.

My wife actually won the Weekly Grand Scratcher one time. We mailed it out but, got a letter of congratulations from the Ca. Lottery stating that we will be entered in a drawing and we will be notified if we are winners. We never heard from the winning ticket again. [BS flag]

It's a tax on the uneducated. Only scratchers I ever scratch are the ones I get each Christmas in the stocking. I hate getting in line behind people cashing them in. It's such a hassle anymore and so time consuming. Worse than writing a check. Using welfare cards is faster and less irritating to follow from an efficiency standpoint. Used to get frustrated following those too but not anymore. Swipe and done. Next please?
