I saw some Facebook comments saying that the OKC Street Outlaws apparently went 4-0 against the Cali cars at the "street" race they had yesterday in Lancaster. Apparently at least one of the cars was from NorCal.

Anybody know more about what happened?

Apparently OKC don't fuck around.

Yea they did there were alot of stipulations that came up tho like the race wasnt gonna happen unless the car was able to pass a track inspection.....dunno when street cars had to pass inspection but anyways they knew stupod shit like that was gonna come up

Yup that's what happened. I guess they showed up on Compton speedway to street race but the helicopter came and police so they left. Then they started filming for there show and Cali got beat. But I guess not all Cali's fast cars was there

Streetcars that have to pass NHRA inspections? Doesn't sound like they are streetcars.
Anyway that show is fake, they trailer all their cars to the races so they aren't streetcars.

Track inspection for a street race LMFAO. Of course OKC gonna win a game in their own rules of 1/8 mile.

Street Cars lol riiiight

Posted by Pure Stang (Member # 7251) on :

Yeah it sucks. 1/8 mile only cali didnt get a chance to TNT on the road they went, and okc did. So cali went to a road they haven't been on the show just threw them in. We did get the disadvantage on our own ground.

STREET CAR????

Posted by Wildfire532FB (Member # 1482) on :

LOL no its not a street car, he trailers it everywhere and i haven't seen him cruise to pick up groceries or pick up the kids from school with it yet.

Posted by John91coupe (Member # 18) on :

Seems their definition of a street car is if the tires are on the road it's a street car. Guess top fuel and funny cars are street cars too if the tires touch the ground.

If it's registered it's a street car. That's the only criteria needed.

Will a non-op registration work? Maybe mine is a street car [Wink]

Here's a post from the SoCal AV boyz (a fast as fuck notch) that raced against them yesterday.

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=576560&page=406

It sounds like there was no bad blood, the Cali cars just got beat. But they are going to head to OKC for round 2, that's pretty cool.

Yeah, part of the problem is the different definitions of what a "street car" is and isn't. I've always considered any race on the street is a street race and can be any car, road legal or not. A "street car" is another matter, IMO, and it must be street legal and drive to a street race, not towed. That puts some extreme restrictions on any CA cars due to smog requirements for late model cars. Not sure but it could be that the Murder Nova might even be street legal in KS. Lots of different opinions on the subject that's for sure.

I think as long as it is legally allowed to be driven on the street that's all that should matter. I don't care how its transported to a location

If there is something about the car that makes it illegal to be driven on the road its not a street car period.

So in some states it may be a "street car" in places like Cali its a "race car"

IMO Cali vs OKC in Cali = a street race of running what u brought, not a "street car" race.

Posted by 135.0 (Member # 4992) on :

If its on the street and you agree to race then we have ourselves a street race. These guys including Bodie wanted to run em so what if they got hustled a little. Thats part of the fun right??

Posted by SLOWBACK 67 (Member # 6348) on :

How about instead of trying to figure out what the definition of a street car should be, they just run at the track to begin with?
If I'm going to race a car that fast for money I'd want it to be at a track with a tree. Take as many of the bullshit variables out like jumping and put up or shut up. [patriot]

Pretty much. They had a street race for race cars.

What is a street car? Pump gas, dot approved tires, tags & insurance. [patriot]

I don't know about OK but here in Texas if a vehicle is 25yrs old or older all you have to do is pass a safety inspection. All that entails is making sure the vehicle stops and that all of the lights work.

Like someone else said a street car to them is a race car to us. But every saw how they were running on the first season so they should've brought their A game.

I think people who don't have the balls to say "your car is faster then mine" use the street car vs race car bullshit excuse. IMO

^^^ lmao come on dude!!!! Here is the new videos of the races! Graymare VS chuck was the race that I thought for sure we would get them on!!! We have all seen the videos of graymare pulling wheelies on the street! The AV boys get down. But u can see them hook hard and then lose traction and get off it!

OKC vs Cali street outlaws

So if i had a top fuel dragster that i was racing on the street that makes it a street car?

Farm truck is the only "street car" in that entire show

If you read my earlier comment you would see I consider a registered car a street car.

Posted by Wildfire532FB (Member # 1482) on :

oh ok i missed that.
I consider a street car a car people drive on the street not just race on the street.

Another reason California sucks. Guy could have a 66 Mustang with 2000 HP and he's legally on the road. Another guy has a 95 Mustang with a B cam and he's technically not legal. What a concept.

Don't get me wrong. Not saying the 66 shouldn't be on the road, just that the CA laws are stupid and make no sense.

I think chiefs turboed 1000hp truck is the only street car on that show.

I don't think wide open headers and slicks would pass for a street car, lol.

That's why you build an older car and register it in Nevada! [Smile]
