This LA times article conforms what has been common knowledge for quite some time: The Republican party is finished in California!
November 11, 2013, 3:21 p.m.
Deep inside a new USC/Los Angeles Times poll are details that could make the California Republican Party, and by extension its cohorts elsewhere in the country, fear anew the march of time and demographics.
California right now is an extreme example of the nation, to be sure: more ethnically mixed and younger than most states, and riven for 20 years by a hobbling GOP civil war that now is surfacing dramatically elsewhere in the country. But if California is on the leading edge, as opposed to an outlier, the poll serves as confirmation that long-term problems loom for Republicans.
Take party registration: Among white California voters, almost four in 10 are Democrats and four in 10 are Republicans. But among Latinos 55% are Democrats and only 15% are Republicans. Among black voters, 76% are Democrats and 4% are Republicans. There were not enough Asian voters to accurately assess, but overall, minority voters are 54% Democratic to 14% Republican. (Just more than one-quarter of minority voters are registered independents, a group that generally votes Democratic in California.)
The collision between ethnicity and age is even more lethal. Six in 10 white voters are over 50, making them prized in the present but not dependable in future decades. The reverse is true for Latinos, 64% of whom are age 49 or younger. Overall, among all voters, 35% of those 50 and over are Republicans; of those younger, only 23% were.
Already those younger and minority voters — 38% of the voter pool — are propping up Democrats in California. Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown has a positive job approval rating of 55% overall. Among white voters the rating is 51%. Among black voters, it is 61%, Among Latinos, it is 67%.
Other poll findings suggest no end to that imbalance. Asked their political ideology, 52% of those ages 49 and younger describe themselves as liberal, to 40% who say conservative. That is close to the opposite of those over 50, only 47% of whom say they are liberal to 58% conservative.
PHOTOS: Best political moments of 2013
Personal experience, events and candidates can prompt change, of course; Arnold Schwarzenegger’s larger-than-life candidacy in the 2003 recall upended the usual ethnic and ideological breaks , as to a lesser extent did his 2006 reelection campaign.
But after he left the stage, normalcy returned. And apart from the unlikely chance of another Arnold-like candidacy, there are few dynamics that could alter the current trajectory.
At this point, Republicans in the state largely continue to weigh against immigration reform and Obamacare, two key issues that help to define candidates for minority voters. And there’s not much to remake the GOP from the inside: The growing numbers of Latino voters in their ranks have applied consistent policy pressure on Democrats, but there’s no parallel pressure on the overwhelmingly white Republican party.

do you think this LA times story is wrong about the Republican Party being finished in this state? What proof do you have that shows the republican party having a bright future in this state?
There is no question that the Republican party is finished in California and the proof of this is that the majority of California
rejects the republican pro gun, anti student, anti minority, anti abortion, anti porn, pro religion anti gay and pro military platform.
The republicans know that Minorities, college kids in other states are following California's lead in rejecting the republican party so the republicans in turn enact "voter ID laws" because the conservative scum cant win a election fair and square.

Why is it that this is the only thread you seem to want to respond to? You like all those cdc gun stats I sent you. You like how they shot the shit out of your gun grabber lies. I sure did. Did you learn anything from them? Like you are full of shit, and you have been lying on gun control this whole time. I also said, Cali was going to shit for the last 3 years... Why? Dem controlled nanny state that rather have people on welfare than working. I also said, more people are leaving than coming, Crime rates are threw the roof, Companies are leaving at a faster rate every year. All because of the Dems. Notice how everything I said was the truth? Of course Cali is going to shit, it's Dem control it. Chi-town, L.A., New Orleans, D.C., all have the same problem.. Dems control them.
p.s. Stop watching Cnn. They are lying to you. O that is right. They aren't even going to be a new station any more. But still a great place to get info from.

He's not interested in a debate. He's the classic definition of a troll. Look at all the posts he's made on other forums. Having a normal interchange of ideas is not something he's into. There's a reason he's been banned from a bunch of other forums. I mean, he's been banned from Corral.net. That site is full of shit talkers, so you know if you get banned from there, you're a complete douche.

There you go again with your guns. You are living in the wrong state as most Californians don't give a shit about guns.
As a matter of fact, One of the things that makes California great is that Democrats who run it gladly use the face of the NRA as toilet paper by enacting some of the toughest gun legislation in the nation. At the local level, the city of Sunnyvale also used the face of the NRA as toilet paper by recently passing gun legislation that pissed of the NRA.
As mentioned earlier, California ranks 8th in the world in GDP. Governor Jerry Brown has a high approval rating. Even a Republican Mormon ass hole like Mitt Romney lives in California because California is a nicer place than a solidly republican state like Mississippi.
You gun blasting FOX news watching right wingers may not like California, but Tech companies, movie stars and minorities and many more think California kicks ass. I agree. California is also kicking some Republican ass as well.

Again this statement proves how retarded you are. I don't watch fox. I'm not even a Rep. So your failed attempts to call me these things, just makes you look even worse. Your circle jerk 374 failed. So did the worst of the gun control bills. SO I guess Cali & Brown aren't as pro gun control as you would like. You are 100 percent right on Dems controlling the state. Why do you think you have so much crime & welfare, and broke/bankrupt cities. Sure Cali if full of worthless takers that feed of the tit of society. Dems breed welfare people. Dems are takers. They take from people with money and give it to the people that won't go get it themselves. So As Dems control this state, they get full responsibility for their failed policies, that have lead this state in to the shitter. Again you learn anything from those Cdc stats Obummer ordered?

This is why the state is going to shit. Obama made 10 million his first 4 years in Office. Dems love the bribes.
http://www.kcra.com/news/State-senator-investigated-by-FBI-is-removed-from-committees/-/11797728/22941240/-/mfy9it/-/index.html
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —A California lawmaker accused of taking bribes from undercover federal agents has just lost some clout in the state Senate.
Sen. Ron Calderon, D-Montebello, was knocked down by fellow lawmakers Tuesday when members of the Senate Rules Committee removed him from several committees on which he served.
But, the Rules Committee stopped short Tuesday of launching an ethics investigation. An attorney hired by the Senate told lawmakers that the Assistant U.S. Attorney in charge of the federal investigation has said that a second probe could hamper the federal one.
Calderon could not be reached at his office on Tuesday, but released a written statement saying, in part, “I have not been charged or convicted with any unjust doing, yet I am being treated by this committee and some media outlets as if I had.”
“The appropriate action to take would be to allow me to continue the work I was elected to do and to allow me to remain on my committee assignments,” the statement read.
But, Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg said the committee’s decision was not meant to be a determination of Calderon’s guilt or innocence.
“I don’t wish Senator Calderon any ill will,” Steinberg told reporters after the hearing. “I hope that this is all untrue. But it isn’t about him. It is about protecting the integrity of the Senate.”
Calderon has been the subject of an ongoing FBI probe. Agents raided his Capitol office back in June. But the case was thrust back into the spotlight last month, when a sealed affidavit was leaked to Al Jazeera America, alleging that Calderon took bribes from undercover agents in exchange for promoting bills at the Capitol.

Poll: Obama approval ratings drop, Americans say he's not trustworthy
Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama's approval rating among American voters has dropped to its lowest number in Quinnipiac University polling since he became President, according to a survey released on Tuesday that also raised new doubts about trust.
As Obama juggles the bungled rollout of HealthCare.gov and questions over his initial promises about health care reform become magnified, only 39% of voters approve how he is handling his job, while 54% disapprove, the new data from the school's Polling Institute shows.
Approval numbers for the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare, continue to illustrate wariness among American voters about health care reform, with only 19% saying they believe the quality of their health care will improve in the next year.
Forty-three percent say it will get worse, while 33% say the controversial law won't affect their health care, according to Quinnipiac.
Those numbers reflect less confidence in the law from a Gallup poll released in late October, when a quarter of Americans said they believed Obamacare would make things better, while 34% said it would make things worse and 36% said it would not make a big difference.
Poll: Disapproval of Congress at historic high
Also for the first time in Quinnipiac polling, more voters say the President is not trustworthy. The new survey was conducted last week and over the weekend, mostly after Obama offered an apology on Thursday to people who are losing their insurance because of changes from the federal health care law.
When selling health care reform in his first term, the President repeatedly assured Americans they could keep their plans, if they liked them. However, that has not turned out to be the case, with some Americans holding certain plans getting cancellation notices from their providers.
According to the poll, a majority of voters, 52%, say the President is not honest and trustworthy, compared to 44% who say the opposite. It's the first time in Quinnipiac history that the president's trustworthy numbers are underwater.
The Obama administration maintains that a majority of people who are losing their current plans will be better off under Obamacare, but officials and some members of Congress have pledged to seek some kind of solution for those getting dropped by their insurance provider.
Asked if the president knowingly deceived Americans with his promise, 46% of voters said they believe he made the statement on purpose, while 47% disagreed.
"President Obama's misstatement, 'If you like your health plan, you can keep it,' left a bad taste with a lot of people," Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said in a statement.
Nearly three-quarters of voters favor extending the March 31 deadline to sign up for health insurance or face a penalty. Many Republican lawmakers in Congress, as well as some Democrats, have floated the idea of postponing the deadline to make up for lost time during the rocky rollout of HealthCare.gov since October 1.
The new Quinnipiac Poll is the latest to show the President's approval rating is declining amid the disastrous health care sign-up process.
Malloy said Obama, like all new presidents, had a "honeymoon" with American voters for the first few years of his presidency.
"As the marriage wore on, he kept his job approval scores in the respectable, though not overwhelming, 40s. Today, for the first time it appears that 40 percent floor is cracking," he said, adding that Obama's job approval rating has fallen to the level of former President George W. Bush at the same period of his Presidency.
While the President has a positive rating, 52%-42%, for how he handles terrorism, he gets negative ratings on foreign policy, immigration, the federal budget, and the economy. A majority of voters, 53%, say the Obama administration has not been competent in managing the U.S. government, according to Quinnipiac.
For the survey, Quinnipiac questioned 2,545 registered voters nationwide by telephone from November 6-11. The poll has a sampling error of plus or minus 1.9 percentage points.

Poll: Disapproval of Congress at historic high
Washington (CNN) - If you thought American's approval of Congress had hit rock bottom weeks ago, you were wrong.
According to a Gallup poll released on Tuesday, only 9% of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing. It's the lowest congressional approval rating in the 39 years Gallup has asked the question.
"The government shutdown in October clearly didn't help Congress' image, and it appears that the impact of that incident may linger, given the record-low approval this month," Gallup CEO Frank Newport wrote. "This no doubt reflects the rancorous partisanship and bickering that characterized the shutdown - the top reasons given by those who disapprove of Congress."
Earlier this year, Americans indicated the two top reasons they disapproved of Congress was the incessant gridlock and partisan bickering, as well as the fact that the legislative body is "not getting anything done" and "not making decisions."
Although Congress' approval rating hit a new low on Tuesday, the fall was not that great.
Congressional approval has recently fluctuated from 13% in 2011 to 21% at the end of 2012, and then down to 11% just a few weeks ago.
The previous low for congressional approval, according to Gallup, was 10%–a number registered twice in 2012.
And despite the fact that last year's average 15% approval rating for Congress was the lowest yearly average Gallup has recorded, the polling agency said Tuesday that 2013 will likely break new ground – with an average 14% approval rating for Congress.
That would be the lowest yearly average Gallup has recorded.
"Having a divided Congress - with Republicans controlling the House and Democrats controlling the Senate - means there are complaints among partisans on both sides, reflected in similarly low congressional approval ratings among Republicans and Democrats," Newport wrote.
Disdain for Washington is also bipartisan. Republicans give Congress a 9% approval rating, compared to 8% among independents and 10% among Democrats.
Gallup conducted its 1,039-person telephone poll from November 7-10. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.

Nothing wrong with being pro military. Nothing wrong with having a superior military to every other nation on this planet. If there was something wrong with being pro military, China, the world's next super power, wouldn't be trying to grow their military at the rate they are currently doing so.
And anyone who slams the military, here's a big fuck you to every single one of you. If America didn't have a bunch of badass men, you could either be a fucking lamp shade or speaking German right now.
That's why I am pro-military.
