Problem it's hard to save money when your always buying parts for your car sometimes I buy crap I don't need but I know the part is hard to come by so I snag it

Sure do....however, the outcome of this habit is so much more rewarding than the outcome of a crack habit. [Wink]

Love this habit. Kept me off the streets for a long time and still does. Met a lot of good friends doing this made a lot of money and spent a lot too. Will never kick this habit

Yeah i feel this way. Fastback is pretty much done so now i am moving onto one of my other cars and i am all excited about doing it and buying all kinds of parts. I just wish i had a lot of money so i could do everything i want at once.

+1 I try to save money but never can. I'm always buying different things for my cars and at the end I'm like damn where my money go lol but as James said this habit has also kept me off the streets and out of trouble. So yes buying parts can be addicting but In the long run hella worth it cause of all the complements people will give you and every where you go people will admire your car.

I felt that way when I had my cars. Now I have no toys and I feel empty inside [Frown] Lol! But for real, this hobby is definitely worse than crack...although it is safer [Big Grin]

My next toy will either be already done and ready to hit the streets/track, or if it's a project car I'll be taking it VERY slow as I have two kids and a mortgage that eat up all my time and money nowadays. Either way I need a new toy dammit!

It took over my life so much, I sold my car and took a break from it all. Ended up buying a new Focus with a warranty. It was never really a problem with buying mods and stuff, Its the fact i would spent thousands on a car, Get bored of it and sell it for a loss just to buy another car to spend thousands on just to do the same, Probably because i was never happy with the cars i had. This time i'm going to save up and get something i want and be done with it for awhile.

If i had a nice C5Z06 in my driveway, I would be set.

I agree it keeps me out of trouble also ,I was into doing and hanging with the wrong crowd before I got my first mustang but now the car hobby took over I've been recently wanting to pay off my mortgages and really start putting money away but the hobby just keeps me from really attacking the principals on my homes so I can be debt free and build wealth .. Oh we'll lol

I'm trying to save for a new home. I've had to stop looking at the for sale section. Just torture when I saw 50deep cobra for sale and wanting to cash out on it

I'm going to start saving up but everytime I try to something I need or want pops up for a STEAL so I hop on it and well saving goes away. [Frown]

yup, there is always something that needs to be replaced. i have to keep persuading my wife that its a "routine" maintenance part and not a performance part. sometimes ill sneak a white lie in there and buy ford racing instead of an oreilly or autozone part, but she doesnt know any better...

mos def a "habit" that creates alot of issues...

Ok 50, I see what you mean, I'm having that problem myself. I'm trying to save up enough to buy a blower but I keep popping for little bolt on crap parts, I see your point, we need to focus more on the really important things in life.
