so lets say you had a 4cyl 5 speed coupe that was in great condition inside and out (black interior)
what engine, transmission, rear end, brakes and suspension would you swap into it and why?

Posted by NEIGHT (Member # 8741) on :

Coyote, T56, 3.73/31 spline rear, Cobra brakes all around, full Maximum Motorsports suspension with bilstein struts N strange 10 way shocks. Why? Because it would be one bad ass car that I would daily drive! Would paint it sand beige N throw some True Forged chicanes on it.

Would that sentence be considered an oxymoron?

we have a winner! this is the combo i will be going for. now i just have to wait until Obama sends me a check for being a "minority" so i can afford it.

The reason why i asked for other peoples dream combo is because i have no idea what i want to do with my coupe.
I'm currently living in south carolina and im really starting to miss my car even if its a 4cyl. (last time i drove it was 2 years ago)

331 turbo dart/ powerglide, built ford 9", team z suspension, certified cage.

Why? Because this would be the most cost effective way to get the job done.

Bugatti engine 16.4 QUAD TURBO 88mm with Long Tubes AllWheelDrive... suspension Hella Flush with a maier flared body kit on it and with Slicks. Why because you going to be like WTF? Then imma be like "im rich bitch" [burnout] [burnout] [burnout] [burnout]

Just depends on what you are going to do with the car.

I would do a dart block 434 with some Yates heads, intake, headers, solid roller cam shaft, Bryant crank, on something like 13:1 and e85. Should be in the 900-1000k range on motor. That should make for a nice cruiser/twisty car.

I would also love to do a single turbo and a built Coyote motor.

Ls2 T56, 3.73/31 spline rear, Cobra brakes all around, full Maximum Motorsports suspension with bilstein struts N strange 10 way shocks. Why? Because it would be one bad ass car that I would daily drive! Would paint it sand beige N throw some True Forged chicanes on

My dream is to import a Cosworth YB engine for use in either an SVO or a Falcon. I've seen complete ones on ebay.co.uk for about $3k.

I would throw a built Turbo'd SVO motor in it.

mild H/C/I LS7
T56
03/04 Cobra IRS rear
Griggs GR40 Ultimate Street system for IRS, with front SLA and coilovers
Wilwood Superlite 6 14" 6-piston front brakes
Wilwood 13" rear brakes

Why? LS7 is a fairly light all aluminum 7.0L streetable high-RPM screamer with proven reliability that can pass emissions, T56 is tried and true, IRS for smoother more predictable handling, SLA and coilovers for smoother ride and greater ultimate grip, big wilwood brakes because race car.
