yeah thats how i tracked down my very first car to a old man in berkely.. went to DMV with the VIN, explained the situation, and they gave me the info on the current registered owner..

I don't think DMV is allowed to release private information like that..It's a privacy law.Unless you know someone working the system... [BS flag] [BS flag]
