I didn't say its Casey in that pic, I'm asking if that's the shop he went to

I believe OP was caught up in a similar situation that I was in. As far as I know M&M Performance had issues and closed their doors. When the shop closed Danny stuck around to do paint work. M&M Performance was backed up in the paint shop and it looked like everything snowballed as the shop doors closed.

I created an ecommerce site for M&M Performance (not Danny) in trade for paint work on my car in 2011. A year went by and Danny texted me saying I needed to pick up my car because they needed to move. My car was untouched and I was assed out like the OP.

It seemed like the problems started years ago and everything until recently just started to unfold as customers are wondering what the heck is going on with their car. I am not sure if the OPs issue was with Danny only or with M&M Performance while Danny was their painter. For all I know it could be a combination of both.

I am not trying to be a too much of an ass here... But, the OP is complaining of a burnt molding? A couple of chips and scratches? From my experience here on Ca fords. Everyone thinks 1500-2500 is the going rate for a paint job. That being said we are talking about a Mustang and not a Ferrari. You get what you pay for.
Obviously there are many things to consider here. This Danny guy was trying to have a go at it. When everything is imploding around him. Not a good scenario conducive for good work.

Op took his car to get painted not scratched n dented, so it doesn't matter if its a mustang or Ferrari. I know you you be mad if it was your 75 Chevy

Yes, I get what you meant. He said a couple scratches. NOT DENTS! I paid a kid to spray primer on my 75 chevy. For $500. Most people on this board think they would get a "wet" paint job for $500. But yes, Let me re-iterate... You always need to respect a car that you are working on. No matter what make or model. Whether it a $1 touch up or a $200k resto.

The op didn't got to m&m for a 2 k paint job ... He went for a 6 k paint job if I remember right . I trailered the car to the shop and dropped it off at m&m for 93fastNotch

Being a mechanic myself, when ever I bid a job I will never bid it down to the point of doing sub par work. That being said if the painter quotes you for a 2500$ paint job it is the painters responsibility to tell the customer what they are gonna get( obviously not top notch materials) but there shouldn't be scratches in the new paint job regardless of the cost (assuming it was a full paint job , not just a patch fix or something) it ultimately is bad business to bid a job so low that you cant do the job properly .

Do you have any proof? Why did you wait so long to post your "story"

Here is my proof and opinion on the SHOP:
I took my 96 cobra to the same shop before I sold it. They replaced my tranny, fixed belt issue; I also brought in all new gauges. The work on my car was done right, no dent or scratches on my vehicle; they also gave me a box filled with all my old gauges, fittings and lines. Nothing was missing!
On addition the other owner (Shaun) called me and asked to rewire my NOS. He said it looks ugly on such a nice car. He rewired it and hid everything under my fender well, THERE WAS NO CHARGE FOR THIS!

Another fellow member here (not going to state who) who is also a buddy of mine came with to pick up the car, seen the scratches and chips all over the car himself after it was freshly painted. ALL my parts I purchased were "BRAND NEW 000 miles so I shouldn't have dents on a new gas tank."

To answer your question NavidR: I picked up my car months ago (late April) and after I took my car out of his hands I've been texting and calling to meet up so i can have the rest of my stuff but he always flakes, ignores my calls or didn't bother since them. I tell my story now to inform other members so they don't get played like myself.

75 Chevy: I did not go in for a 1,000 - 2500$ paint job.

Yes let's not go throwing my name in this! I had nothing to do with any of this, infact I have done a lot for the OP and sure hope that nothing gets thrown my way for this!

Since I do know both sides (obviously), the deal was screwed up. The OP was and still not is happy with the car. But the gauges were compensated, and he did get a Decent amount of money taken off for the delay in work and he got 3-5k dollars worth of free mechanical work done to compensate for the time and all the mechanical work that was done to the car is TOP NOTCH!

The OP is unhappy with the paint job. That is really where this thread should stay focused at! The rest of the stuff is debateable between the 2 parties involved!

Oh and why don't you post pics of the paint job. Cause I don't think there were any scratches or dents. The OP was concerned with some fish eyes in the paint as far as I know.

And to clarify, my car was painted by the same person at the same time as the OP. my car is now at a different paint shop getting redone again cause I was not happy with the paint! So I am in no way going to refer anyone to te painter. Just want the facts to stay strait and I don't want to be thrown in this! Thanks cafords!
