In order to combat the lowly thieves on this site and thugs that are not for the betterment of the NORCAL Ford Community; I think we should make CAFORDS Invite Only. Meaning a member on here already who has been here for about a year or who has at least 1000 posts can invite another person to become a member of the forum. And when the new member is signed up on his sig is a little note that is publicly viewable that shows which member number invited him to the forum. what do you think? not to sure on who to contact about this but please feel free to contact me. other members chime in and let me know what your thoughts are.
this way when someone one is new to the forum, or when someone is accused or suspected of thievery, we can see who invited them and follow the chain and start putting names to faces that way people do not have as much anonymity

10. If you disagree with the actions of the Californiafords.com Staff, express your concerns privately. We are always willing to listen, however, public bashing or criticism of the team will be deleted and possibly end in your banishment.

Not disagreeing giving them an idea.... The site is fine but we can set up deterrents

Thats too much work for a forum that has already lost all its valuable members. Hardly ever see any of the "well known" guys.

He's suppost to give suggestion in a private message @ the bottom of the screen is a link to do so.
It's not a bad idea but what if its someone who doesn't associate with other members.

I think nobody would bother to even try to register to a forum that is that strict.
I am not sure how that would prevent thieves either.

+1 There is a lot of stand up honest guys on here but on the other hand we also have scammers that bring the site down. I do like the buyer / seller feedback thread.

Actually I am a part of sffixed the largest fixed bike/bike forum in all of Cali, and their setup is exactly that way.
The way this will prevent thieves is members will be more reluctant to invite people they do not know. If you invite someone, and that person is accused of stealing, everyone knows you invited him to the forum so that ties you to the theif so you probably knew about him stealing or have an idea on when the car is etc...

Then you can't be part of the forum, the whole point of the invitation is that you already have a "rep" people know who you are and trust you. That way people do not have to worry about new members on the forum, because technically they won't be new. Cafords isn't like corral, or moddedmustang, svtp, it's a special forum because its centralized to one specific area. If cafords was nation wide this may not work. However; since it isn't this is a perfect way to regulate members, as well as behavior that happens through the site.

Either way, it doesn't get rid of all the other lurkers and thieves we already have.
