Pros... fun gun to shoot.

Cons... the recoil.

I love shooting these guns. I don't own one yet, but wouldn't have a problem cashing one out.

Depends on what round you are shooting threw it. I don't think it is that bad. But compared to a Ar it is. But I do have more fun shooting my friends mini 14 over my wife's Ar. New they are $900-1,100 threw the Ruger website.

Cool gun, kinda accurate. Sold mine after I bought my first AR. if you can find one cheap scoop it up but make sure you get one built mid 90's on up. if your gonna go new just shell out a few extra bucks for an AR.

forgot to Add if you are planning on a lot of range shooting, opt for the Std model over the ranch rifle. you may also consider a mini 30 as well.

thanks guys for the info....going to check one out this week..

The one gun I regret selling. Fun to shoot, has little to no recoil and is easy to clean. Like V-Town said pick up the standard cause the ranch rifle shoots its brass about 15 yards to the right when firing LOL.
