are there any etched vin location on a 1986 mustang? I am trying to register my convertible, but the car was repainted awhile ago and the usual locations dont have the vin stickers, the only one that I i know of is the dash, but they want atleast 2 locations with the vin.

Try the dog tag or whatever its called on the radiator support. Might have it there.

Idk about 86 but my 90 has a vin on the back bumper you will have to crawl under the back bumper and it should be very visible

Right under the top part I seen mine the other day, I think by the passenger side.

On both sides, approximately a ft from the front of radiator support.

3" tabs on either side
