So I've been debating selling/trading my car and a few people here suggested it would be worth trade in value +1000 maybe...I went to my GM and he said he would give me $7500 for it which was shocking and I don't think I could get over that without waiting and finding the exact right person to buy it. I would give it to him stock which he requested, so I was just wondering what CAFords thinks I could pull in from selling the aftermarket parts/accessories. I figured maybe around $2000? I would have to get some cheap wheels and a stock exhaust set up but the rest would be profit. Sounds like a good way to go if I plan on buying something new. Thanks for the input.

What?
Not sure if I mis-worded the post...I have my '00 GT. everyone here said its worth about $5-6000 if I sell it on my own. My GM at Ford will give me $7500 if I trade it in stock. That's a good deal considering what I was told it was worth. So I'm asking how much you think I could make if I sold my aftermarket parts..

7500??? Get rid of it already who cares about the aftermarket parts thats a smokin deal for a '00 gt. Honestly what does it matter how much you get for the parts ??? Sell that thing already and make your own calculations on the parts google is your best friend

Thanks man, I don't get what the hell is the problem with everyone. (maybe it's true, they just can't read, they're all illiterate) Little background: I'm only 22, never known much about mechanics or the parts side of cars, thought I'd ask for help. Give it a break.

Ok instead of asking how much the parts are worth I guess you'd prefer it to be asked this way:
Is it worth the time to part it all out? I'm gonna trade it in for the same amount whether I do it today or next week, I'm just wanting to make sure if I can maximize profit that I do that. If I'm getting a "smokin deal" then great, but I'm pretty sure there's no one here that would leave any other money on the table just because.
If you can't answer the question there's a few threads where you can just BS to get more posts. I asked for help that's what I need not junk for answers.
Rant is over, just trying to see if anyone has ACTUAL advice or insight, thanks.

i would just sell it to your GM as is, none of your mods are significant, most of them are cosmetic. the resale amount on them wont be close to what you bought them for. so save yourself the headache and dont part it, sell it as is and buy yourself a new car
but honestly thats a nice looking car, not too sure why you want to sell it, keep it and work for 3 months youll habve your 6-7 grand

I owe on it, but taking 7500 would mean no negative equity, parting it out would give me cash and I would get either a 5.0 or an ST. I like the car, just want a coupe and manual tranny

Of course your going to make some money its kind of a no brainer. You said youre not mechanically inclined so are you going to pay for somebody to put your stock parts on?
