2003 dodge ram 2500 Cummings

I must say... I'm 5'5 and went from riding a 90''s ranger to this as a DD.... Holy shit.

For you diesel heads what should I be careful with? And what should I do? All it has is 4 inch stainless exhaust that's it

Get rid of the cat and muff... if too loud for you keep the muff, either way get that cat out!

Watch out for black smoke coming out of the exhaust man.

Do you smoke?

Ima be smoking mother fuckers! Coal man ftw it's a auto trans yes. No cat and a magnaflow muffler. Shit is loud and clacks lol love it

Don't worry about the trans it'll be fine. Get some gauges and an exhaust brake.

03 has no cats. Should just be a resonator. Like said above, watch the auto trans. If you put a tuner on it, it's helpful to have gauges to see what's going on.

As far as oil temp in the trans? Manual boost gauge? Etc?
I'm not looking to mod the fuck out of it but its a damn snail atm

The trans is going to go, you should talk to my friend Adam Winslett

Left Coast Diesel has seen a lot of tranny issues from the Cummins, they use to offer a $5500 tranny upgrade.

Yeah but they deal with diesels on a daily basis. I guess I have been lucky with my trans.

Go home Greasy, you're drunk....

Once you hit it with big tunes the trans will go, which is why I said a mild tow tune. Do your research. Thoroughbred diesel has amazing prices

I can't go home I've got a job and I'm not drunk........yet. I must have missed where he wanted gobs of HP and torque, sure if you're doing tractor pulls you'll need a built trans. My truck pulls trailers with no issues and is definitely not under powered and I have yet to have a trans problem. Please enlighten me on the weak link for the trannys.

Two of my friends have dodge diesels, they both hate their truck. Things break down weekly for them. The trans dodge uses is some weak ass gas motor trans, the ball joints go bad every 30k, the steering gear box goes bad as well.
