Anyone who works there or knows this process please help. I sold my motorcycle a few months back. Mailed the liability slip in. Apparently the dmv didn't get it! I come to find out the person I sold my motorcycle to hasn't registered it and he crashed it! The bike is sitting at a tow yard right now.

I don't have his info anymore since I sent the top part of the title to the dmv. How can I get this bike out of my name???

All I have is his phone # which doesn't get picked up.

Always turn that shit in in person yourself. You don't even have to stand in line to do it.

So you haven't had any ill effects as far as them trying to charge you or collections type stuff?

I've told DMV physically I already sold the car an mailed the realese of liability and both clerks told me to not worry about it but I still get the renewal mailed to me,I look at it like its not my issue I've done what I could its the retard who owns the car now who can't drive it without penalty cause he can't pay his reg or put the car in his name...sorry to hear about his luck [Roll Eyes] I would contact DMV or tt a clerk next time your there, the vehicle being in the tow yard could be an issue cause it is in your name they want somebody to hold responsible lol
