Those nada prices are crazy and retail at that. If you go by them I'm sittin on a hundred grand.

Anyway you paid 2k looks like you have another 1k in parts and labor. Plus you stole it. I'd ask 6500 on eBay. I'd take better pics of the rust and remember a car like this to the right guy is his dream car. Also remember that east of California these cars rust quick and badly, depleting inventory.

ya i paid 2k, butbif you see the laundry list of stuff I've already done to it you'll see why I was able to get it so cheap.Beyond the mechanical stuff the interior was all removed so I have about 40 hours into this car already. Plus it was on non op needed smog etc. I've straightened out most of the problems that were plaguing this car thus far

Take a rotary buffer to it with some compound and i bet you'd get a nice shine out of that faded paint.

One of my buddies does detailing side work he's gonna come show me how to cut/polish/buff/wax tomorrow & says the paint should be able to make a good come back

Youll be pleasantly surprised in the outcome. That single stage paint will clean up nicely.

The car is very old and to top it off it looks rough as evidenced by the blue carpet and seats with heavy brown stains. The missing radio, damaged driver seat, and the rear seat cover are not good either.

The interior, exterior and engine compartment looks trashed. That car has ben beat on for only have having 60K on the odometer.

If you should consider yourself lucky if you can get a grand for that pie of junk.

With some good mods that pile of junk will blow the doors off of your pile of junk and at a fraction of what you spent. GLWS bro those cars are rare

By the way, the fan shroud on the Buick is missing. If the appearance of the car looks bad, I wounder what the condition is of the stuff you can't see like the inside of the motor or the transmission?
Deos the car have service records to back up the odometer reading?
Like I said, the car looks rough.

Ever heard or the saying dont judge a book my its cover. I know a guy who brought in his t-type for use to work on and he was asking somewhere around 7000 for it. All he did to it was a paint job and some maintenance. They moooove!

u cant relly go off Nada or kbb prices cuz we all know people dont pay them prices cuz most time they are outlandish and are highly inaccurate way of measuring a cars value. t types and gn's do have a strong following and do hold good value tho, im no expert on them but id say 4-5k would be fair-market value for 1 like urs.

Yeah this car is a bit rough, but give me a couple weeks and it will change dramatically. I wanted to clean it up first, but all the mechanical stuff was more important. Under hood is mostly dirty, so a good thorough clean up will go a long way. The fan shroud is already back in place, just too lazt to go take another pic and put it on photobucket.

Not sure what you're talking about in regards to the carpet since it's almost brand new. Any stains on it will come out easy. Headliner is also brand new.

Missing radio? That's rarely a concern, but I plan on finding an oem radio to install in any case.

The rear seat cover was installed to protect the factory seats and it did one heck of a job they are in great shape. I removed the covers yesterday, then went out and had the windows tinted today, so that I can leave that ugly seat cover off.

You'd be lucky to find a basket case rust bucket for $1k. This car runs/drives great, has fresh fluids, full tune up, passed smog by a great margin, and turbo spools great with no shaft play. Registration is current, insured etc. By no means is it the cleanest t type in the world and I am well aware that I didn't stumble upon a gold mine, but I know for a fact I got a good deal, and all money put into this car thus far is definitely not wasted.
