Depends on what you want it for. Better on gas big hp or reliable

5 oh is better than 4.6 sohc, but dohc 4.6's take the win imo.

They are nice. Ive had 2 of them. I prefer the modular motors though.

I love mine, cheap to fix, if you want to mod it automatically needs a tune, comfferable, nice cars with any set of wheels. Great dependeble cars for everyday driving.

Theyre great cars and are personally one of my favorite bodies. More comfortable than a fox and better to mod than sohc 4.6's.

Good if u are upgrading from a 4.6 sohc to a 5.0
But if u had the DOHC(cobra). Kinda is a downgrade. Unless its modded.
They're comfortable as fuck tho. Def a chick magnet. Lol

When you say it automatically needs a tune with mods, is that even with an intake and simple bolt ons?

Just when you do a cam.

You don't need a tune on a old pushrod 5.0 with a H/C/I swap just a couple adjustments and wala. But I guess if you wanted to you can tune it.

You need a tune to fix the idle issues, because the 94-95 have more complicated ecu's. or do what im gonna do and get a 94-95 cobra ecu.

Nice cars but stock to stock they are the slowest 5.0. But being its a 5.0 its easy to mod them

This^

94-95 5.0's have issues when u start to mod them. I sold my 95 cobra a while back and it had HCI on top of a 347 shortblock. Ran like a beast, but would suffer from idle surge occasionally due to the sn95 pcm demons.

Notoriously slow when stock
Great body lines and tons of mod potential
Sound Great with Flowmasters
Needs HUGE wheels/tires to fill rear wheel wells
Definitely have heard more then a few people complain about the tuning after mods
Last style with the 5.0 so some nostalgia there

Miss mine like crazy it was a damn good daily,

there great for upgrades to my fox body lol. a bit better steering and braking then a fox, but slower, ugly, plastic cheap interior.

I have to say I love mine too, I've had to do a base idle reset a couple times , but it wasn't hard to do. pretty easy to work on. hope it runs coo after I finally change to 24.lb injectors and maf
