How difficult is it to swap a complete top still on the frame and with a glass window then transfer directly onto another fox vert? Is it easier than just replacing the top? Any special maneuvers or tools?

Thanks.

How accurate is this top frame removal? Is it really this simple?

Swapping the frame completely is actually not that hard. Me and my boy swapped a frame from an 89 to a 90 and it worked just fine.

You have to remove the rear panels, then take off a couple of bolts holding the top to the frame. After that you just have to remove the back window. It takes some time to line it up but it's not that hard and can be way cheaper than replacing the top.

I have never just replaced a top but I'm interested to hear from those who have since I'm going to change it on my vert soon [patriot]

is 250-300 a good labor price to do the swap?

Removal of the back window is very easy not hard at all. That price sounds fair to me but you could do it yourself with one person helping you it's not that difficult [patriot]

i dont know how to put the vinyl fabric on the top frame...all i did was swap the entire frame with the top on it already...

theres a guy in the city that does it in his garage...an old filipino guy, and he does excellent work (ive seen his work)...i believe he charges around 500 to install. if you want his number, let me know...

from what i was told, he has the equipment and fabric in his garage...ive talked to him too, cool cat...but might be easier if you can speak tagalog lol

I'll take that number too Fredfifty. My top is on it's way and I might just end up paying to have it swapped. That price is for labor only right, no materials? [patriot]
