I know it will not happen over night, but if people start respecting the hobby again, and use this site for that purpose we can have a old school CAFORDS again

I've sold parts for dirt cheap even driven far to sell a part real cheap; and Ive gotten help from a few members, for wich im gratefull for. But for the most part u have to keep an eye out on who you deal with here. You can tell alott about a persons character by the way he acts on here.

And yeah I'm also tired of ppl lowballing even tho there getting a great deal. If your that short on ends maybe your #1 priority shouldn't be a project mustang.

And the close to new prices on used parts I hear u it's a mess out here. But if your patient you still can find screaming deals here & there

I half agree with this post. Yes there is a lot of bullshit.... However, there are still some old school guys out there.

Examples:
I went back to the track for the first time this summer in 7 years. I had no where to store my extra tires or tools while making passes. Drew from AED, let me use his trailer to leave my stuff in a safe place. Hadn't seen him since I left 7 years ago. Thanks!

Same thing when I went up a second time, Dan let me stick my tires with his stuff so I wouldn't have to worry. Thanks!

I can't even think of all the times my cousin Jon M helped me out. John B, Drew, Shaun, Dan, other Dan, Jonathon, ... the list could go on. There are still good people on here.

I sold and gave away a lot of parts this summer. Someone needed a clutch and flywheel? done I had an extra. Someone bought an intake or whatever from me and I threw in every extra part possible.

Last night I was out for drinks with a friend and 6 other people I didn't know. The bill was $183.00. No one knew each other real well and figuring out the bill was taking forever, when it got passed by me so I could figure out what "I owed" I quickly grabbed it, handed it to the nearest server and put it all on my card. Not because I make a lot of money... I don't. Not to impress people, I'll never see most those people again. But because it was a nice thing to do for some strangers who shared a couple hours of good conversation with me. The people who had cash actually chipped in pretty good and left me about 100 bucks so really It didn't cost me much at all. Small simple good deeds in life go a long way.

I know a few guys on here that are standup dudes. I've been given parts and gave parts away. I'm not the type of guy who try's to make a buck off members. I'll try and help Cafords people out as much as I can.

I think the influx of lowballer's have changed the posted pricing. I believe a majority of members are not expecting to get their asking price so they ask more to give themselves a more negotiable start LOL.
We can all thank Craigslist for that.

Still some good peeps on here that are willing to help the cause , but I do agree , it seems to be more bickering as of late but just like always , it's going to have its highs and lows on here. But I do got to say, I've met a ton of good people on here, can't really talk bad on anybody I've met in person , bullshited with a lot of folks here ,and for the most part had good dealing with a lot also ..but this site and the mustang world is what I love ,I'm not going to lie .. I actually got the chance to meet this guy one time to purchase a 1" Cobra Intake spacer. Great dude.. I noticed he was selling the intake and wondered hmm maybe he has a spacer, upon asking he said he would look for me. Ended up he had one, I went to buy it from him in Oakland and he even went to one of his local hardware shops with me and payed for the missing bolts. Great buying experience

I have also met Lee, another cool dude, has a lot of Mustang Knowledge and willing to share.

Dvus, another cool dude on here even helped me modify a bracket and shared his Mustang knowledge.

Dealt with Foxbody on here as well, he was cool and our transaction went smooth.

Just some examples..

Point is, even though I haven't been here 10 years this site does have value to it for me. I have met some great dudes on here with great Mustang knowledge.

I'm young so it sucks when an older dude talks down to you for not knowing something about cars or dismisses you simply because your young and not some hot rod specialist lol. I have encountered very few of that so far from the guys I've met through CAFords and I appreciate the help I have received. Thanks guys!

Everyone shud know used parts go for half price +/-, rule off thumb...(scratches count). I remember when i got a PMAS 80mm for a $100 here. Dude looked like he polished it or somethin, looked/worked brand new to me. ($300 new). injectors, a super charger Etc... Etc...... Etc ………

Maybe i just havent built any Fords in a while i tend to stick to the GENERAL/TECH section for the most part... And fuck craiglist jmo

You have to look at the new generation which we are in now. It's the entitled (me) generation and it doesn't work well with the rest of us.
What can you do for me is the mentality I see these days and I shy far away from it. Not surprising at all really due to bad parenting; the school system now is really more a day care center.
People who shouldn't have kids, are, and people who should, aren't.
This will only get worse and worse but we must try to help members who are the good ones and steer clear of the bad ones. Just hope they move on to another site
