I'm a little frustrated with the front end at this point because I want to go lower but I'm out of adjustment on the coilovers. Hopefully when the engine, trans, and everything else is in it'll be 1-1.5" lower.

Gonna keep the car white ?
Posted by 1sick65 (Member # 3957) on
:
plans are to go a nice bright white, like BMW alpine white and do a satin black powder coat on the window trim, white rear bumper, badgeless.

you using an all alum LS based motor? if so a ligther spring rate may get you where you need to be, but remember you have no sheetmetal still.

:
its an iron block- heavy
trans will 4l80e most likely- like 200lbs
turbo alone weighs- 56lbs
I think it'll drop a good bit. the front springs are a 175/350 progressive.

It'll go lower with the weight of the motor.

Looking real good. I am looking for a 67 coupe
Posted by 1sick65 (Member # 3957) on
:
67s are easier to stuff big wheels into and they have a bit bigger engine bay-

i'll take it to the track a few times a year but more than anything i just wanna drive it as much as i can. hoping to knock down big numbers and still get great driveability with the efi and overdrive-

How much power are you aiming for? I seen a similar 404ci setup with a 88mm pushing 1100hp. In a Silverado.
