so I got pulled over today for not having a front license plate the officer then said my exhaust was to loud which it isn't the he told me to pop the hood and asked my for the carb number for my headers and they where welded to the header I showed him and it said EO D-245-5 and he said it doesn't say CARB EO and he was telling me how my headers wern't smog legal. He let me go on the BAR ref ticket thank god but if you are around the folsom area look out for officer keacher badge #165 he was an auto mechanic for 22 years so don't bullshit him and he knew more about my car than I did.

?? Since when does it need to be marked "CARB EO"??
I cannot find anything stating that is a requirement.

CARB is specific to California IIRC
But my CAI sticker says ARB EO#xxxx, but it still passes visual. I guess its not enforced that much when it comes to smog...

I told him I passed smog with my BBK headers and he said that tech prolly didn't know what he was doing.

most of my stuff has an EO stamped on it. Some of it doesnt. They don't have "CARB EO ....."
I had one tech give me grief because the EO sticker was not placed on the part. I placed it by the info tags next to factory tags. I asked him to show me where is says that the sticker must be on the part, he refused. So I told him he was full of it. He still tested the car , which passed.
