I was charged 100 to smog my stang .....that included a fee to look up carb# on my eddy intake! Wtf anyone know of a place that doesn't charge for this service in the Sacramento san joaquine areas? PM ASAP please if they know somebody that "good" cash in hand

that is a rip off. they shouldn't charge to look up carb numbers. then again, they can make up those fees if they choose too.

"look up" fee? huh, they felt the need to charge u too look up a part thats smog legal? Thats some bs, last smog on my truck i spent $300.00 for a catalyc converter + the smog fee. Smogs getting expensive on older cars. Shits ridiculous

Totally legal to charge for looking up carb numbers as long the tell you up front.look at this way do want to get paid for the work you do or do give your time away for free.

Shits legit I I was in lower 1/4 of everything measured and even got a 0 on CO%.....shit ill rep them now beats having to pay for illegal smog Autotek in sacramento oh they didn't mind the cam either trick flow stage 2

No, you are responsible for having the CARB EO# either permanently affixed to the modified part or a Mylar sticker with the CARB EO# either next to the factory emission label or driver side door pillar.

Does it suck, yes. Is it the shops responsibility to look up numbers on your modified parts? No. Modified emission component without a proper EO# is sufficient enough to get sent to state referee. Don't agree, but it's the law for now.

every time I have gone to get my car smoged i take the actual print outs from the C.A.R.B website and have all of the executive order numbers high lighted the only person I trust is ALAN over at PRO TECH smog on castle st in stockton 39.99

I'll put this way dude looked over the fact I had a couple of grey area parts on my whip after thinking it over I am glad it done and finished after all I have a HCI car I daily drive. Eddelbrock does not provide carb#s and I also had a number of parts without carb #s. When I first posted this I didn't think about how many parts I had that were not smog legit so it's a wash and they replaced my evap return line that had a crack in it and egr hose also
