Hey guys, I have a 2012 5.0 and was recently state refeed got me for cvc 27156. I had a Catless system 3 inch all the way back with only a couple resonators so it is damn loud and a no carb # intake. I guess the noise gave him probable cause to pull me over I aint hatin the law is the law. However I handeled the ref ticket so im clear but was wondering If I now have to smog every two years or if I still have the 6 year smog abatement thing (New cars dont have to smog for 6 years) some people say if you get reffed you have to start getting smogged every two years some people say you still have the 6 years of no smog. Any1 get reffed in a essentially new car and know about this?

Im always nice to them. I've been let off constantly for random stuff but this was while getting kicked out of a meet and vendors were angry that we were taking their parking spaces and called police. CHP had to leave the freeways to kick us out and were patroling the side streets so when they saw someone who was modded they weren't cutting any breaks because they were already angry.

Ref ticket is just that, a ref ticket. They don't go to DMV unless you don't pay, then it becomes a hold on the registration. If you've taken care of the ticket then thats it. You're reg wont depend on a smog every other year until the 6 years or whatever runs out.

Oh and I have 2 questions regarding the new car, did you hit a brick wall the other day and make your own cowl hood? And do it swang?

Nope wasn't me, I dont crash into Brick walls. And the tires aren't broken loose very often... as of now
