I wonder how hard it'd be to get an engineering job there without any automotive engineering experience? Being that they're a fairly new company I'd hope they'd give me a chance though

Yea bro when your a new hire they show you the old nummi door line it looks depressing as fuck.. tesla is far from that the mood is way different they take care of you and all our equipment is up to date so the work isn't hard at all. A lot of people think its an assembly line job but its far from that. Anybody looking to apply go to teslamotors.com they are using a temp agency called volt right now and if you show you wanna work they will turn you out as permanent. I don't recommend this job to anyone not willing to work 12 hour days so if you have a family it might be tough but the ot hours bring in good money. Some departments only work 8-10 hour days but like I said some are 12-14 depending on how critical the component is to the car.

I also use to work at Nummi. Money was good but the job was depressing. I use to work on slate line. Installing fenders, door, hood, truck and welding unibody as needed. That mach is my boys car. He also use to work there when Nummi was there.
