SB249 Defeated! Petitions do work :-)
Senator Yee had this to say: "My greatest fear is that another senseless act of violence will happen before the loophole is closed,"

The loophole he is talking about is removing a button on AR rifles... A BUTTON! (Which the killer in CO didn't have) He is saying that if we eliminate that button, there will be no more senseless violence. We need to vote him out, he has no clue about this issue.

That's the thing is there are soo many people here who don't think for themselves and just want handouts or lazy ass office state workers who will always vote these guys into office.

San Francisco actually, so there's no chance of getting rid of him, just look at the long history of who wins elections in and around SF, this guy will be in office again and again, I never understand how a city with tons of crime and a place where even when a cop is killed they will not push for the death penalty can continue to vote for these idiots but it does.

i have to say...im really surprised at this

with all the anti gun talk lately, even some people who were pretty neutral on the subject started to convert over all the misleading rhetoric

i thought for sure this would pass

It's On the website as something they are going to talk about today but they said they dropped it until next year. I guess a Calguns guy is there and Senator Yee is trying to lobby the committee right now so it hasn't been defeated yet

We should start a petition or flyer to try and get this moran out of office. Do the same as the petition except with his name on it and tht should shut him up! ...time to buy a few more toys to celebrate nd throw it in his face... [patriot]

They're saying it can be brought up anytime until the end of the session. Technically we have until sept 1st.
