Was convicted in Jan 2012 of Reckless Driving and wanted to know long its on your record for? People say its 10 years like a DUI, others say 3 or 5. Wanted to see if my fellow cafords members can get me a clear answer, and yes I already know I'm fucked people

Your only fucked if you have a job that requires you to drive and even then, you might still be ok.

google search n this is what i got
In CA, a DUI is surcharged for 3 years and you loose the good driver discount for 10 years, a reckless ticket is surcharged for 3 years.

it all depends on original charges and what evidence they have.

My original charge was exhibition of speed and speeding 75 in a 35. Originally was gunna be 10 days in jail, 1000 dollars, and 2 years of probation but then after working with the court they reduced my charge, dropped the speeding charge, gave me really reckless driving and 250, 5 days of WWP and still 2 years of probation

It's easier to outsmart them, then it is to outrun them... Hiding has worked for me

Yes but when I got mine i was on a CBR1000RR so literally they would not have been able to keep up, could have gotten somewhere and hid. Given the chopper wasnt out and about.

You jsut need a faster horse i used to split out on them all the time, but its a lot esaier at 190+ than at 150 or so. Esp when it only takes 15 seconds to get to 190 lol

Ive gotten 5 of them over the years. Its a misdemeanor, it stays on your driving record for 37 months and stays on your criminal record for 10 years (since its a misdemeanor). Each one was a minimum of 1,000 in fees, 2 points on your license, and for the last 2 i had to serve jail time. It gets pretty serious after gettin one or two of them.

It stays on your record for insurance purposes, but the points go away in 37 months
