When I Bearly got into the 5.0 scene I liked coupes only, if it wasn't a coupe I didn't want it but now I'm more into hatchbacks.. I've had 2 coupes and 3 hatches and my current is a hatch..I want to know which one do you prefer between the two and why ..please lets keep it coupe vs hatch don't bring in any other bodystyle..let the war begin!

I'd go a little deeper and say I hate 87-93 GTs, I like the rest of them and even pre87 GTs. Hatch you can put more beat into, coupe is easier to see everything in the rear view.

lol...i believe he only wanted coupe vs hatch.

with that said, i prefer coupe. the number one reason i like coupes is cuz its getting more rare. beshides that, style wise i think its a toss up. coupes are a little better looking to me but not by much.

Coupes for shure! '86 coupe to be exact. But ever since I got my hatch I've been liking them more but still wish I had an actual trunk since I'm keeping my car with no tint.

i vote for coupes. hatches are clean too though. i'm just not a fan of 87-93 gt hatchbacks, i dont like the body kit

Well my very first car was a 89hatch i only had it for 24hrs...lol...i kno i kno.police took it i saved all my pennys for that too.but anways then i had a 90 drop lx ran pretty good then i saw my boys coupe an was like i gotta have that then i sold my drop an got my boyz coupe wow wat a big difference it was a solid car.then i got my current 91ssp an love it also.i love the coupe how they look frm the back they stands reminds me of how a pittbull stand.bolky strong look love the little trunks.but lately i been wanting either a 4eyed coupe or a 4eyed hatch either one.there rare aswell.but coupe overall.an there not ghetto he always have something negitive to say.dnt mind that chump.so wen ur going to come to a ryde out 396????

When I was a teen I loved the 82 GTs and Capris and always wanted one. As I got older and started to learn about hp, I wanted an 86 GT. Once my brother got his new 88 LX hatch, I was hooked. As soon as I got out of HS I wanted to get one. It toon me a year or so but I finally got my first 50, an 86 GT with t-tops. I didn't like the 87-93 gt hatches at the time because of the ugly ass cheese grader tail lights and turn down exhaust. That all changed when I got my s/c 93 GT with LX tail lights. So I prefer hatches if you didn't already figure that out lol.

I had an87 lx and have owned my 93gt for 12 years..I must say I really dig the clean look of a lowered coupe.that will be my next fox project..i know in the 90s the gt was the hot ticket...I say fox 5.0 any model ftw!:

+1 Keep up the "ghetto" drifting in that coupe. Looking good. Coupes all the way . That 93 cobra is pretty much game over in stock trim though. I like the gt with out the side skirts. Someone posted a drift video awhile back of one that looked good without side skirts .

I originally bought my 85 GT hatch because it was what I could afford. Now, I really wouldent have it any other way. I dont like 87-93 GTs too much, The LXs are much better looking IMO.

My vote goes to coupes.. Hatches look ghey. But I'd still drive one. Notches have a more aggressive look.
