I was just curious to see if anyone here does. Ive been cutting my hair since I was 13. I couldnt see myself paying $20 for a haircut weekly..I think thats what some are going for.

What machine do you use? Know how to taper?

I've been faded my self up for the last 10-11 years. I have been lining my self up for about a 2years and starting to work on my taper. I usually also cut someones hair every other week or so.

i been cutting my hair for about 14 years already and ether i do it all even or faded sometimes, i use those pros machine cause i got tired of the regular ones taking a crap after a few months.

I've been since I was like 11...my dad used to cut my hair before that. I occasionally go to a barber (my boy) but only when I'm feeling lazy or in a rush.

Lol on the flowbee. I use wahl professional series clippers. All clippers come with left and right taper guards but those are just the modern flowbee attachments. I use no guard and shave bald every 2 weeks.

Been cutting it for the last 4 years. Started off with wahl clipper set from target and moved up to Andis masters. Tried using a straight razor once. That was a no go lol.

I can clip my head but only a solid number haha, but I always go to my boy who clips hair at his pad, clean ass fade with line up and everything for 10 dollah

I just shave my head with a #2 guard. Then I have the wife hit any spots I missed. I haven't paid for a haircut since 97.

My barber keeps with old school barber tradition. Help yourself to cold beer in the fridge while you wait, nudy mags are in the back.

The shop looks like it would have been 50 years ago and all about taking care of the customer. $14 ain't bad

In the 4 years I've been cutting and fading my own hair I've saved over 2k at the chair. (considering i'd pay 20 bux every 2 weeks, and I usually tip 6-8$). I was at marshalls (ftmfw..) and scoped Whal's selling at 20$. I picked one up and gave it a go, nailing it fade and all 1st try. And Never thought about going back.

Im bald, I shave my head at least twice a week. Use the Walh trimmer. $20 at walmart.

Ok cool looks like a lot of peeps. I like Wahl, cheap and durable but just got some Oster clippers, WAY better.

It does save a lot of money knowing how to do it. I just hated the waiting and all for a barber. It was hard at first to learn to fade/taper but its not bad now. I know most people just go one size but thats no bueno for me.
