My boy has an 06 I believe and loves the car. The weak point for sure is the rear end the wheel hop is horrible. I have driven his with a cam,lt's and exhaust and it moves pretty good for a full size car and very comfortable.

On the downside, it gets TERRIBLE gas mileage (mine has been cammed & tuned sine I've owned it so I'm sure that makes the MPG worse), the rear end is weak & will break if you don't know how to handle it when wheel hop sets in, & the hydraulic clutch setup, although is nice & smooth, it can be a bit finicky once u have problems with it. Overall though, I haven't had any major issues with it other than that I have to spend a shit load on gas...

About 13mpg average right now since 75% of my driving is city stop & go driving. On the hwy, I can pull off around 19-21 depending on how I drive, but yeah overall the best avg MPG I've gotten out of a tank was around 14.7 mpg, & that was putting the thing around in 6th gear on the street...

Told you they get shitty MPG, BUT you gotta figure my cam specs are 228/232 duration. 111 LSA, 612 intake/600 exhaust. Plus I'm running bigger injectors, 1 3/4 long tubes, & full 3" exhaust.... it's also a heavy car with 3.73 gears... Not a very good DD car to be honest unless you don't care about MPG. I'm sure a stock one should get MUCH better MPG, but mine was modded when I purchased it, so i have no clue...

Took that with my iPhone lol

Stock was about 2-3mpg better than my 226/230 113+2 cam. Car made 419/396 with that cam, long tubes, X, magnaflow cat back and K&N air filter. I wana say the car weighed around 3,500lbs, I forget exactly though. Here's a race between a 02' GT with ported heads comp stage 2 cams and every other bolt ins for a 4.6 with 3.73's and a 02 SLP SS with full exhaust. I was stock at the time. Forward to about 1:30, typical mustang drivers with the jump and I was about ~2 cars in front of the SS at 145mph.

The V's are a badass machine. You get the best of both worlds. corvette drivetrain in a cadillac. I love ford, but GM makes sick cars as well...

Well, u are entitled to your opinion, & I can respect. My opinion is, the SHO is ok, but....uhhhh. Its still a f#ckin Taurus, & is NOT that great looking IMO... I'm biased since I own a caddy, but just gonna say, you can't deny the power out of the box, the potential, reliability, or the sound of an LSX platform... I too was once ALL FORD, Anti LSX, but that was because I never experienced anything else. I then realized that there are many other cool cars to be experienced than just Mustangs, Fords, or even American cars in general...
