So I found a 01 gt 5 speed with 140xxx miles they guy said there are no problems with it. Do you guys think that's a to high of mileage? How long do these motors last? Please chip in if I'm going to spend 5k I want to spend it on a gt worth it

All depends on how it was treated N maintained, but people won't tell you the complete truth on cars. N yeah that is hella miles that's almost as many miles my car has on the chasis N its a '86.

Yeah thats why I'm thinking about it and I've found other gt's but the prices are out of range

Those miles aren't necessarily that high if you take into account the car is 11 years old. You can use the milage in your favor for wiggle room on the price. Look at it like this, the lower the miles, the higher the price.

That's a very good point sir. What you thing would be a reasonable price for a 01 gt 5 speed 140xxx with only flowmasters and cobras with tinted windows on it

Well with those miles and if it is in really good shape mechanically and the exterior/interior is good too I would say 4-6K easy. That's about what they go for in good shape so at 5k I don't think that's a bad price.

i dont think its high miles but its on the average side of a 2001. depending on its condition and whats included, id base your buy on that. 5k seems like a pretty decent deal.

Right on man, good luck and don't think like a buyer, think from a sellers perspective. Like a salesmen, and haggle him down.

If that doesn't work pick up a 96-98 Cobra
