So on Friday I got my picture taken by a camera on the stop light the road was to slippery to brake and the light tured red extremely fast. If I have a clean record or if I am a full time student would the judge let me off with a warning by any chance or even community service. Any advice

Don't think so bro I'm pretty sure red light tickets have a mandatory minimum fine judges can't really budge when its a set fine amount

Nope, not anymore, you officially have a red light ticket, get ready to pay $350-400 and ask for traffic school!

Don't trip, happens to all of us! [Razz]

Or you can try to fight it, which you have the possibility of winning! [patriot]

If it doesnt have a court date and citation number when it comes in the mail, its not actually a ticket. They come from a third party private company to you. When you sign it and send it in to the courthouse, you're basically ratting yourself out. I'm a tech at a dealership and we have a camera light down the street, quite a few of us have gotten these and just tossed them with no consequences. The original source of my info was a lawyer that specializes in traffic laws by the way.

This. KTVU or some news station had a segment on these red light cameras. The company is based out of AZ i believe. They make the cameras and the money is split between the company and the city that the camera is in.

Is the camera that got you on A st off the 880 south exit?

The company is Redflex Traffic Systemz, in Phoenix Arizona. Ive gotten two and chucked them out. Its been over four years.

Under california penal code, a midemeanor or infraction must be performed under an offices presence. They have been sued countless times by people, cities and even LEOS
