Picked up a 2001 Ford F250 Crew Cab short bed in Utah two weeks ago. 63k miles. All stock except for a lift and air bags. Going to put a banks 6 gun kit on it and pillar gauges, also new wheels they are just hideous.

What will you be doing with those wheels once you get new ones?

Noob question but what's a banks 6 gun kit? Is that a lift kit by any chance? Just trying to grow some more knowledge haha. Very nice truck by the way congrats. [patriot]

no its got a 4 inch spring lift on it. its a tuner, tranny tune, exhaust, and waste gate. I may get a custom tune instead, still researching what i want. Wheels are first. Got a camper shell today for the dog, its white, so i will try to paint it myself i think, see what happens

Damn nice find man! I need to get back into the truck game.

nice! get a dp tuner tho. much better. ts chips are that bad either, and you can get it re flashed by any company if you ever upgraded more (injectors, turbo, etc).

once i get some cash im gunna get rid of my superchip. dont really like it, makes it slip into gear to protect the tranny, and it sucks cause the shifts are slower. and its only a 90hp tune compared to DP's 140hp tune.

Nice score with that milage!

Call Jody Tipton @ DP Tuner for the Chip. I have his stuff in my 02, 7.3 and couldn't be happier!

Wow on the miles must have been an old man or farmer.
Ct performance is a great one stop shop for anything from coil suspension conversions to custom tony wildman tunes. They have alot of soild products for good prices and the owner is a real good guy that knows his stuff.

Man thats a great score no matter if it was a deal or not. Cant go wrong.

However, Banks though.....wow why? Ive had a few on my 7.3 and dp tuner by far the best way to go!!!!! Great power good mileage. Just got almost 18mpg freeway in 60hp tow tune loaded car trailer (6500-7000lbs) comming back from L.A.

I'm nt set on anything I looked at the dp tuners today, on my phone though so wasn't easy to navigate. I'll give them a call, I don't want anything crazy just a better tune for towing and new exaust

yea you can pick what tunes you want, they have a list and all you do is pick them, they have towing, econ, mild to wild! also drivethru tunes, high idle, stock and lope.

IMO the drivethru tune is a waste of money tho.

methods are pretty nice, we ran a set on my shop owners truck while he waits for the bmf wheels to come out. have you looked into bmf wheels? i love the novacains in death metal for 8 lug wheels.

also have you done any research on other tires? those toyo mt's dont seam to get as good of milage as others. we like to run the MT atz tires. one of our customers in a 1ton lifted dodge got 65k out of them

Posted by blown95svt (Member # 8893) on :

here are the m301's, let me know if you want them. i can get you a good deal on them.

You work for NorCal? I was in there a month ago looking at that white f250. What year is that truck in the pic wheels only fit 99-04. I'm not picky on tires was going to run an 11 inch wide tire with 35 diameter was going to try to keep it in the wheel wells
