I'm not the Raider fan to hate on. I'm a FOOTBALL fan, but my loyalty is with the Raiders. Never once have I bashed the 9ers, I give credit when and where is due, always have. So to everyone yelling out stupid shit early, calm it down. I'm not here to turn this into an argument...I want manning to get another ring and to laugh at the colts while he does it, SF is the best place for this to happen with him.

Plus I'd MUCH rather see him across the bay than in denver.

Only bad I can see with manning in a niners uniform is that our O-line isnt the best and hes not a very mobile Q-back. Imagine if manning goes down during the season...who will be a competant backup to manning...that would be Alex Smith. If they dont sign Alex smith back (he knows the offense/players better then Manning at this point) manning could be the weak link in the offense.

Manning is a short term solution for a long term problem. Every since Young retired, the 49ers have been trying to force 2nd string quality quarterbacks into starting roles. Payton will help them immediately, but it will come at a high price and potentially hurt any long term success. So, in other words, if they sign Manning, they better win in all within one or two seasons.
