If your dog killed my cat, you'd have a dead dog on your porch. I love dogs but ones that kill other animals unnecessarily need to be put down, imo. Nothing wrong with having a guard dog, but a real guard dog only attacks when provoked. Who says a little kid wanders by alone and doesnt get its head ripped off?

I'd never let my cat outside though, just for reasons like this.

I am biased when it comes to the topic. I'm allergic to cats so I naturally don't like them. But you're the only one talking about killing someone's pet. If you have a pet that comes into my yard and Cujo bites its head off...that's not ME killing anything. Plus you can acquire a cat just by leaving a bowl of milk outside...

My Siberian Husky has a talent for catching pigeons out the air. Bout this time of year I start picking up pigeons almost daily. I'll see if I can find the vid I have of her doing it. She stalks them, spooks them, them jumps up and catches them out of mid-air.

Actually some macaws live 30-50 years and imagine a cat taking it's life. I have had one bird killed by a cat that I owned for ten years. Doesn't mean I am going to go hassle the owner or kill the cat because of it.

Actually, my border collie black lab mix is up to 6 birds from the backyard and 4 mice while we were hiking. The German Shepherd is at 3 rats from the back yard and a couple hundred flys/bugs.

So yes, my dogs will take care of the rats/mice/birds and still make damn sure no one even thinks about entering my house [Big Grin]
