I had a HS buddy work for the CCC for a while. From the stories I heard, it's about a half a step above working on a prison chain gang.

Yeah, the sac and stocton centers pick up trash on the side of the highway and crap... We did trail maintinence and we even built trails.. We also did invasive plant removal..

I worked at the stockton location and got really lucky because I ended up as a cook there. But there's a lot of drama there.
