they finally got caught overcharging and performing illegal tows. if you were towed by them contact the san mateo county DA chuck finney. you will be able to get you money back x2. used to be x4. lowered this year. i dont think they care how long ago you were towed. also there business license was suspended in august 2011.

they had yards and towaway accounts in fremont area and san jose i think these will end up falling under this too. so find your receipts.

just throwing this out there so if you or anyone you know was unlawfully towed by specialty towing this is your chance to get your money back.

if your in san mateo only company to use is action, used them for many customers never had a bad experience.

this is refering to private property tow aways. fire lanes, hadicapped stalls w/o placard, private parking stalls, permit only lots, unauthorized parking. that kind of stuff.

if for some reason you were NOT over charged the D.A is encouraging people that have been towed from a private property by specialty towing to make sure that the proper tow away signs are at the entrance and exit of the property. and that the property manager/ management company have/had signed contract with the tow company. also if you were towed from a firelane that you were provide with a picture of your car in said firelane if a authorized person/agency wasnt there when the tow took place.

if anyone has any question pertaining to the vehicle code vc section 22658. feel free to hit me up i can explain it. some of it doesnt make sense.
