Got severe stomach pain after dinner, started throwing up and then all the pain moved to the right side. Had my dad take me to the ER cause It hurt so bad and they ran a blood test and a cat scan and my appendix is ready to burst not sure how long I will be out, anyone know?

Not related to appendix ,but I was in and out within 3 days for galbladder surgery and recovery for 2 weeks with no heavy lifting.but gl with surgery.

2-3 weeks but should be feeling back to normal after 2 weeks. Just take it easy. Good Luck with the surgery and hope you feel better soon

its no big deal at all...they do it all the time at the hospital i work at.. i say one week you ll be feeling fine.

yeah you should be down for about 2-3 weeks but will feel better in about a week hope u get better soon

I had the EXACT same thing a couple years ago. I must have vomited at least 5 times. You are fine. It's going to be 1 small scar near your right hip, 1 small scar right at or above your pelvis and a 3/4" slit in your belly button.

You can't eat for 24 hours after surgery, get to eat hospital food. The next day is the worst because everything wears off and you feel all the pain from every muscle being sore.

All good though. You will be back and moving in 1.5 weeks or so.

Yours was Laparoscopic, they cut me open, I have a scar on my stomach about 2.5" long. It does hurt like a bitch after those meds wear off!

I remember when I got mines removed! I woke up after surgery assuming I was okay and when I moved I was in extreme pain! Haha you will be down for a week and a lil more flexible week 2 and week 3 you will be back to normal

hope you feel better soon.. my buddy had it done to him a few years ago, took him about 2-3 weeks to get back to 100%.

Woke up with a weird heart beat and extreme pain, the pain was from me not being able to swallow was from the breathing tube. Made me puke which made it hurt like hell. Doing good now, just hella tired.

Hope everything goes well Dana. I had my appendix removed about 5 yrs ago. I was driving back from a Las Vegas car show when my pain first started. Went about 72hrs before finally visiting a doctor. Probably one of the worst pains I ever felt. After surgery was done I felt almost no pain. The 3 holes they cut in me were so small you can barely even see a scar. Overall very easy going recovery. Good luck!

My doctor was old school so I have a 2 inch. It in my side instead of the 3 cuts, no biggie. it's bruised and I fell asleep and the pain has over come the drugs so it's achey.
