I've never really been a foxbody guy, but I've been wanting one for a cruiser/DD. I'm looking for something as close to stock and in as original condition as possible.

What is the average going rate at market value? Let's say the car has 150k+ miles, no mods, original paint with usual paint blemishes, original interior with usual 'gangsta' lean seats, minor wear and tear on carpet and upholstery, maybe slightly leaking sunroof? What would you pay?

You are gonna hear $2-3K on this site all day long Ian.

IMHO, a clean original fox will still still fetch $4-7K. 87-93 cars in that kind of condition are getting rare though.

CAFORDS clean foxes can be found on CL all day for $3K though...

I pretty much agree with you guys. If I can find a stock/original fox in decent shape for about $3k I'd consider myself lucky [Big Grin] let the searching begin!

I'm actually looking for the same exactly thing as you. Not looking to build a super fast car, just want something as original and clean as possible to cruise in.

I agree with Luke, I've been finding alot of clean original cars from the 5-7k range. Some guys get over zealous and price an original car with 'low' mileage for 10k+.

Good luck in your search [patriot]

Good luck to you too! May the best searcher win [Razz] [Big Grin] I feel that since foxbodies are so "hot" nowadays if it were to get stolen, at least I didnt invest a bunch of money into it...hopefully these scumbag thieves stay away from it being that it really wont have anythign worth stealing it for [Embarrassed]

thats not "original" anymore...

My thoughts of "original are stock ponies, turbines, or 10 holes, stock exhaust, stocj air filter, stock interior (dirty is evene acceptable if it's stock [Big Grin] ), stock am/fm/cassette stereo, etc. THIS IS WHAT I WANT [Wink]

I just took off the ponies yesterday, but yeah I like how the 85/86 seats are with the red piping but my sn95 are clean with like no crease marks. I have stock air box with K&N filter, stock exhaust. I don't know to me that's pretty much original.

Oh yeah does anyone have all their stickers from when the car was first purchased? I was looking in my glove box N I have a stack of stickers from 86-12(13 is on the car). I thought that was pretty kool.

When I first got the car I was cruising on the freeway N felt like someone was like starring at me so I look to my left N a dude was trying to get my attention. So I rolled down my window N he was like "Ay man that's my old car, I bought it brand new back in '86" I was like "what are you shure?" he then was like "yeah I remember the plates, does it still have the A/C?" What are the chances of that? lol

Lets just say I was offered $3,500 a few weeks ago N I turned it down. I'm not shure if I wanna get rid of it to be honest but if someone had the right amount I'd give it up but until then it's mine.

Sold my wifes `91 5.0 lx convertible for $4k on eBay last year.

I think $3k-$7k would be fair for a CLEAN original condition 5.0

It's alright its just the bottom end I dont think anyone wants a '86 motor. Plus it only has less than 2k miles since rebuild even then the block didn't have many miles on it.
