160 main straight through the esses at Reno-Fernley Raceway. Then Fifth to Second gear drop, and from 160 to 35 to make the hairpin. You wanna feel a crazy rush to insane G change, that is it. As you come into the last corner you enter it at about 100-110, going into the 25* banked corner, and you peg it before mid apex, it flatens out onto the main straight which is over 1/4 mi long, you keep it floored staying wide, then DO NOT lift as you get to the esses. Just clip back and fourth real fast and trust in your car. You pass the four turns in what feels like a split sec, and as you pass the fourth s, full brake and down shift to set for the hard left hand hairpin. It's something I have not felt at any other road course yet.

Since everyone is throwing in they're top mph I will too. years ago when I was 19 concord motorsports approved me for a gsxr 600 somehow any how I went 178 mph on highway four near Bart towards concord. The only way I knew it was that fast was because it wouldnt go any faster it sounded like I was hiring a rev limiter. Aww those days of being young n dumb now I have 2 kids and a bicycle with the little kid trailer

ive been 155+ on some long ass straight away in tracy car was in fith with 3;27 with my tko @ 5800-6000 rpm and was way past the 140 mark dont know really how fast but for sure above 150 and car did not like it lol either did my brakes

Lol, in my first car ('84 honda accord carbureted) I "raced" my friends late 80's z28 tpi and he had to go 130+ just to barely gain on me. He did give me a decent head start tho. I pegged my speedo so I didn't know how fast I was going until he told me I was above 130, which surprised the hell outta me. I was 18 and thought that car was super sonic. lmao. Now my stang with a wet kit will probably break 170 no prob, but I treasure my life, and respect others around me.

About 160MPH......Back when i had my 69 Shelby GT500, i would bury the 145MPH speedometer at 4900 RPM and would take it up to 6200RPM and hold it there for a few miles. It was a Blast, the car actually liked to go that fast and felt real comfortable at that speed.

I was doing this back in 1990-1995, a new stock 87-93 would won't go past 140-144mph, we tried. We could get a SVO to do 150 easy, but i dont think they were rated that high. But a 93ish twin turbo 300zx would show up to do some freeway runs, and motor trend stated it would max out at 165mph which seemed correct to us with our results. I think I remember his speedo was digital and read 165mph, my speedo was a FMS 160 speedo and I was barring it past 160. The stupid thing I did this with stock brakes.
