What are some of the best combo set-ups and the best builds for the buck?

Anything from a junkyard turbo build to just heads/cam, or stock with heads and blown, N20, etc.

Stock motor with a $400 nitrous kit will get you in the 12's. I ran 12.8 with 3:73 gears, 100 shot and street tires. Some sticky tires and you can be mid 12's easy.

Nothing too fancy, just the best combo for the least money to have enough power to have some fun in and not feel so bad when you drive hard.

You can't go wrong with the combos above, beat on it . Drive it like you stole it and don't feel Bad about it.

what do you want to call budget?

My coupe build has -
TFS TW heads
Scorpion 1.6RR's
TFS stg1 cam
Performer intake
65mm t/b + spacer
ATI Procharger P1SC 12 rib w/3-row front mount intercooler
Canton road race oil pan w/main stud girdle + ARP main/rod bolts
stock 302 forged bottom end
valley girdle
ARP headstuds/ARP hardware everywhere even the timing cover and studs for the intake
dynomax carb equal length shorties
bbk X pipe
dynomax superturbo catback

it passes smog, has good drivability, is fast enough for me at 14psi (before the intercooler, so probably 10psi at the motor). And the motor cost me $2k to build myself. $1250 of that was the procharger kit, everything I bought used.

When I did the budget build I mentioned it took 2 months and a little over $1200 to build a real budget build!
