Who knows of any good machine shops in the bay area? Already tried calling Dave's machine since yesterday haven't got an answer or a call back, anywhere else? Need this asap so I can get my car back on the road, thanks.

Everybody's telling me rod knock but I'm gonna get it to a shop to find the exact problem.

Have you pulled the valve covers or check the oil yet?

I would do those first before you do anything else.

I've personally used Elby's Machine in Dublin and Morgan's Speed and Marine in Walnut Creek. Both are good shops.

I haven't pulled the valve covers, the passenger side looks way to cramped up to pull it off and I don't have the right tools so I'm going to take it to a shop tomorrow or the next day unless I can find somebody willing to lend a hand and some tools.
