so my cars in the shop getting some warranty work done and the service adviser asked me if i wanted to replace the clutch and flywheel while they had the tranny apart. car is stock and i dont plan on pushing any more then 500 hp so what clutch and flywheel would you guys recommend

I went with a Mcloed RXT twin disk with a 26 spline input shaft. The OEM flywheel is a mcloed so I am going to sent it back to Mcloed for a new friction plate and save money on that...

^ This for the win, without a doubt the softest clutch I have EVER felt in a mustang.

Will anything other than stock void the warranty?

No ^^^^Ford said they would put a clutch in for 2600 parts alone but they would warranty that part for 1 year i figure i could get a clutch and flywheel for less then a grand and take my Chances [Big Grin]

What kind of clutch are they giving you for $2600?
That's hella. I think the oem clutch it's self is bout
$700. Alot of people say get a twin disk, or a spec 3.

Keep the stock flywheel. Ship it to McLeod and have them re-plate it.

That's what I've been saying. Our cars have a Mcloed aluminum flywheel from factory. Mine is going to mcloed for a new friction plate. Takes 3-5 days to get it back and It's practically new when they send it back...

I don't think they make a 10 spline RXT clutch.

They do make one. But IMO If your spending 900 already on a clutch why not spend 300 more and have piece of mind when you floor it...
