do any of you guys trap shoot for fun? i was thinking about heading to chabot to unload some shells but it kinda got expensive at 7 dollars a round

Yeah man, trap is awesome. For cheap trap head to Los Altos range. You need two people because you run the thrower yourself, but for $15 fees and a $16 box of 130 clays, its well worth the drive. You can even do doubles there.

go to walmart, remington trap 12 gauge ammo (#7?) is ~$20 for 5 boxes of 25

I buy my shells at Walmart. They're $23 for a box of 100.
I've got one of each. I shoot a .410 pump and a 12ga auto and over/under. I mostly shoot the over/under and my wife shoots the auto. The. 410 is fun for the extra challenge.

I tried it one day at Chabot and it was really fun. Even did pretty good without the proper shotgun. Have to jump on them with a 20" barrel

I did it once in Marysville, it was a blast. I would go try the Livermore Rod & Gun club. They have a nice clay trap area

if your ever down at the davis st range in san leandro send me a pm ill go. i bought four boxes of 45acp ammo and wanna shoot kinda sucks going byyourself the wife dosent like the comppresion from the gun. or chabot and shoot some trap
