change from 84 gears to 93 tranny only bads is i dont have that .63 overdrive nomore im stuck with a .68 but i was at 1500 rpm going 70 on the hwy so should be to much of a diffrence rite

your going from an 84 5 speed to a 93 5 speed?

if thats the case then you'll just have a steeper 1st gear and 5th will be the same plus remember you will be using dexIII not gear oil anymore. heres a good source of T-5 info:

My tranny has a .63 the new gears are all different except the 4th but the input shaft teeth are even different I calculated the gears already at school

Yea it does make it alot easier but t5s are easy to rebuild I just wish I had the money for those gforce gears

well if you do the T5Z rebuild youll still have the .63 over drive. anyway if your at 1500RPM now at 70mph youll end up at like 1800 with the .68

so you bought a different gear set for the tranny your building?

something like that im swaping everything out cause my main shaft is bad and my input shaft and they dont match with the new counter shaft so everything is being changed
