I was reading some history on Sacramento Raceway here:

http://sacramentoraceway.com/generalinfo.html

Does anyone know how many lives were lost down the Sacramento Raceway 1320 since it opened in 1964?

I know there was one a few years back.I think it was a Nova that sheared some wheel studs, flipped and rode the guardrail down a ways.

As far as I know my dad never raced at Fremont. The city made them close the track due to a bunch of BS with land and what not.

How many people on here knew Vacaville had a track? I believe Lodi also had one too.

Damn I wish they still had one.

The lodi track is still there. They open it once a year for races.

2.5

In the mid 80's we had a crash were a car barrel rolled down the guard rail and the female driver didnt make it, We had a top Fuel Charley rider pass after his cylinder head came and tore he aorta at about 35 feet into the run. And 3 years ago we had a racer have a stroke in a mid 7 sec dragster half way down the track and crash but thanks to all of our safety staff, and a portable defibrillator we where able to revive him. He has made a full recovery and is alive well and racing today
